What can you buy with L$500

July 07, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous 1 Comment →

Here’s an idea. You know my on going weekly contest named “Top commentator”. Well, that contest has a prize of L$500 and that’s why it just crossed my mind asking what can you do with those L$500, if you win, of course.beach house

For example, you could pay a one week on a beautiful tropical waterfront, like this one, with friendly neighbours and relaxing views. Or maybe you’re a sports car fan and you would like to buy one instead of dreaming on a sandy beach. That would be quite manageble for L$500.

So, guys, what would you do with that neat L$500?

Adsense account canceled

June 17, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous 2 Comments →

Want to speak to you about a guy who lost his Google Adsense account. Unfortunately that guy would be me and now I’m just trying to get it back. Even if I tried this, I really don’t think that I would have any luck in getting my account back and this is only because Google has extremely strict rules when we’re talking about invalid click activity.

Still what do you have to do when your adsense account has been disabled?

Frankly there are not much things to do about that because you are in Googles hands. But you might want to try these simple steps:

Step 1

If your account has been disabled you should have already received an e-mail about this horrid thing. First you should try reading the e-mail and extracting the information about the reason why your account has been disabled.

Step 2

Secondly, in that e-mail you should find a kind of “more about why you are flushed by Google” link. If the e-mail is not clear enough and you want more information, you should try that.

Step 3

After all the small talk and refers to Google TOS (Terms Of Service) paragraphs, you can do one thing and one thing only. To send an online appeal form. You send the form with the required information and you just have to relax and wait for 48 hours, or so they say, for them to review your site, problem, invalid clicking and other suspicious stuff they find.

I wrote these steps because you might get an e-mail about disabling your adsense account from a scammer. If that happens, don’t, I repeat, DO NOT give away your users or passwords. Google does not ask for that, it only asks you about your publisher ID, that’s cool. Oh, yes and if you look in the URL section of your browser, it should appear https:// instead of http://. The S means that the page is secure and you can be positive that it is from Google.

Unfortunately in my case, the e-mail was genuine, no scam, no trick and I had to go through all the steps that I presented you. Now, all I can do is wait for their decision. Wish me luck guys. And read those Adsense Terms and Conditions, it would not hurt a bit and it might help you not to lose your account as I did.

Second Life origins

May 18, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous 2 Comments →

snow crashWe all know Second Life, now. Of course we know who we pay every month that subscription, it’s Linden Research Inc, commonly knew as Linden Lab. But the game has it’s origins in a novel. Yes guys, first it was a story, every time there is. Someone had to think it first but the fellows from Linden Lab put the virtual reality in real reality, if you know what I mean.

Anyhow, the storyteller is Neal Stephenson and the story is “Snow Crash”. Of course is a futuristic version of the future, they all are, where private organisations take over the government. And in this kind of environment the Metaverse makes it’s unavailing. It is described by the author as the successor of the Internet and actually it’s a vision of a virtual reality based internet. The main character is this book is Hiro (you also can read it as “hero”), who, of course, tries to uncover of a new drug “Snow Crash” having it’s effects in SL, just like a computer-virus, as well as in the RL, altering the minds of the users.

The book was published in 1992 and the Second Life game was launched only after 11 years. As you might have noticed, every big idea was firstly present in the imagination of the writers and afterwards it became reality. I think it’s a very interesting book to read especially if you want to know the origins of the reality you’re playing with.

New beginning

May 10, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous No Comments →

Hello readers from all over the world. Today is a great day for me, as this is my first post in a project that I hope you will enjoy as much as I will. You all heard of Second Life otherwise you will not be here but still, for the ones kept in the dark from this subject I will shortly describe the Second Life “entity”.

Second Life is not a game, who would call a game a place where millions of real american dollars are spent? No, it’s not a game, it’s plain and simple a virtual world. A world where you can free your wildless dreams and power of creation. It was created by the boys from Linden Labs - smart guys - and it is a method of earning money, for those who know what to do with it. Of course winning money in Second Life it’s not easy, it never was but there are stories of great business in this world.

The blog you’re reading right now does not want you to get the wrong idea. You won’t get rich over night, that’s for sure. But still you can earn free linden dollars by the methods presented here maybe just enough to buy you that dream house on the beach, that you want so badly.

This type of blog idea is not new, I got it from another blogger involved in Second Life. Chino Yray has it’s own site about this virtual world and it’s the living proof that you can make money in Second Life, even by blogging about it. Thank you Chino. We hope that together will get more ideas of winning linden dollars.

Let’s not waiste time then and get the wheels moving to earn FREE LINDENS.
