Adsense account canceled

June 17, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous

Want to speak to you about a guy who lost his Google Adsense account. Unfortunately that guy would be me and now I’m just trying to get it back. Even if I tried this, I really don’t think that I would have any luck in getting my account back and this is only because Google has extremely strict rules when we’re talking about invalid click activity.

Still what do you have to do when your adsense account has been disabled?

Frankly there are not much things to do about that because you are in Googles hands. But you might want to try these simple steps:

Step 1

If your account has been disabled you should have already received an e-mail about this horrid thing. First you should try reading the e-mail and extracting the information about the reason why your account has been disabled.

Step 2

Secondly, in that e-mail you should find a kind of “more about why you are flushed by Google” link. If the e-mail is not clear enough and you want more information, you should try that.

Step 3

After all the small talk and refers to Google TOS (Terms Of Service) paragraphs, you can do one thing and one thing only. To send an online appeal form. You send the form with the required information and you just have to relax and wait for 48 hours, or so they say, for them to review your site, problem, invalid clicking and other suspicious stuff they find.

I wrote these steps because you might get an e-mail about disabling your adsense account from a scammer. If that happens, don’t, I repeat, DO NOT give away your users or passwords. Google does not ask for that, it only asks you about your publisher ID, that’s cool. Oh, yes and if you look in the URL section of your browser, it should appear https:// instead of http://. The S means that the page is secure and you can be positive that it is from Google.

Unfortunately in my case, the e-mail was genuine, no scam, no trick and I had to go through all the steps that I presented you. Now, all I can do is wait for their decision. Wish me luck guys. And read those Adsense Terms and Conditions, it would not hurt a bit and it might help you not to lose your account as I did.
