Commentator of the week

June 22, 2008 By: Honto Category: Contest

I’ve decided to give the prize even if the minimum prescriptions for the contest were not completely accomplished. As I said before, it should be a minimum 3 commentators battling for this prize. I just hope that in the weeks to come will have a good fight for these L$500.

Remember to check out my site for future contests in Second Life and other ways to earn money. As you’ve noticed, I started giving ideas for money makers in real life too. It’s a complementary field of this blog so you should expect more from where that came together with blogging tips for you bloggers out there who are trying to make a difference.

But let’s not wait any more for the big announcement. Here it is. The Commentator of the Week is no other than:

James Schwarz with 2 comments

Do you even realize what little thing have you done for L$500. Trust me, it’s better than camping in Second Life. Congratulations, my friend.

Alternative money makers

June 21, 2008 By: Honto Category: Money

Since I just lost my Google Adsense account, I’ve been looking for new ways and opportunities to make money online and I discovered that adsense it’s not the ultimate money maker on the internet. I thought that you should know about it too. After all this is a money maker blog.

Text Link Ads

They deal with selling links on your blog or site. You all should have one in your blog. Usually it’s going in your sidebar, left or right, where ever you want to store it. Of course they establish a price for the links on your blog extracting information from different sources such as Alexa, the RSS subscribers or Google Page Rank. And it’s not too intruding because it’s located in the sidebar and the readers enjoy your blog posts without being hassled by advertisement.

Kontera Content Link

Kontera, as written in its name, deals with content links. What are content links? They’re that special links in your spread out through your posts. They search for special words in your post and they transform them into publicity. When you hover over those words a small popup appears giving your readers the chance to find out more about a product or service related to that word.

There is a trick here. They only accept 500,000 page views per month sites. But, still, I made some research on this and found a way around it. I discovered John Chow. All you have to do to get your Kontera account is to write “John Chow Kontera partnership” into the Comments field after you complete the other details.

Bidvertiser

This one is somehow like Google Adsense but it has a major advantage for smaller sites. The payout is set to minimum 10$. It’s quite an easy payout to reach for sites with small number of viewers. Just like Google it’s a CPC (Cost Per Click) network, or you may say PPC (Paid Per Click).

ReviewMe

ReviewMe help advertisers as bloggers to earn great money. Advertisers buy reviews from bloggers and everybody wins. They establish a price for a review on your blog based on Alexa rank, number of readers and other statistics. So, after you grow your blog this service can bring you great money for a 200 word review.

Adsense account canceled

June 17, 2008 By: Honto Category: Miscellaneous

Want to speak to you about a guy who lost his Google Adsense account. Unfortunately that guy would be me and now I’m just trying to get it back. Even if I tried this, I really don’t think that I would have any luck in getting my account back and this is only because Google has extremely strict rules when we’re talking about invalid click activity.

Still what do you have to do when your adsense account has been disabled?

Frankly there are not much things to do about that because you are in Googles hands. But you might want to try these simple steps:

Step 1

If your account has been disabled you should have already received an e-mail about this horrid thing. First you should try reading the e-mail and extracting the information about the reason why your account has been disabled.

Step 2

Secondly, in that e-mail you should find a kind of “more about why you are flushed by Google” link. If the e-mail is not clear enough and you want more information, you should try that.

Step 3

After all the small talk and refers to Google TOS (Terms Of Service) paragraphs, you can do one thing and one thing only. To send an online appeal form. You send the form with the required information and you just have to relax and wait for 48 hours, or so they say, for them to review your site, problem, invalid clicking and other suspicious stuff they find.

I wrote these steps because you might get an e-mail about disabling your adsense account from a scammer. If that happens, don’t, I repeat, DO NOT give away your users or passwords. Google does not ask for that, it only asks you about your publisher ID, that’s cool. Oh, yes and if you look in the URL section of your browser, it should appear https:// instead of http://. The S means that the page is secure and you can be positive that it is from Google.

Unfortunately in my case, the e-mail was genuine, no scam, no trick and I had to go through all the steps that I presented you. Now, all I can do is wait for their decision. Wish me luck guys. And read those Adsense Terms and Conditions, it would not hurt a bit and it might help you not to lose your account as I did.

Earn2Life and Market Truths

June 08, 2008 By: Honto Category: Free lindens

These two programs for earning free lindens have a surprise for their users.

The first one, Earn2Life has introduced a couple of moths ago, a Pay4Picks program which had a big amount of success among users and thus they raised the payments for this one with 100%. That’s good news. How can you use it? Just sign up for Earn2Life and after that you can win lindens in-world with the help of E2L HUD which can be taken from their place in SL. After that just select an offer or a pick from the HUD and the lindens are surely yours.

On the other hand, Market Truths Research Panel has a new survey for its users. You can earn L$500 in just 5 to 10 minutes by completing a survey about Second Life entertainment. I just did that and got my 500 free lindens.

Don’t forget. To take the survey and to get this kind of offers you have to be a member of Market Truths.

After that, to make it easier to you, just click on the link bellow to get your L$500.

https://survey.markettruths.com/entertainment

You’ll be prompted to enter your Second Life name and your Research Panel password.
