Congratulations second lifer, you just got yourself L$500. The free lindens brought to you by Honto Yoshikawa.

But don’t forget about the other contest on this blog, the prize is L$5000. And you can try other opportunities of winning free lindens. The top commentator contest is a weekly one but I think it will suffer some modiffications. But not yet my friends.

The second contest started L$5000

May 31, 2008 By: Honto Category: Contest

The second contest is a little bit about luck and a little bit about work.

What is the work you have to do? It’s quite simple. You have a blog or a site. You just have to write about iHonto on your site put a link for my Free Linden earning methods and link to this contest so people will know what’s going on.

The luck? Well it will be only one of my readers that will win the prize.

The winning amount? It’s L$5000. It has never been easier to win so many lindens in such a way.

The deadline? This contest is for June 2008, so it will end on the last day of the month. The winner will be randomly selected with the help of Microsoft Excel on the 1st of July. A raffle can be executed only when at least 5 blogs are in contest. So encourage your friends.

Example of what you should have on your post:

iHonto helps you to win Free Linden Dollars in Second Life and will give you L$5000, just for writing about it.

This is only an example, you can add more information but you have to post the three links.

Don’t wait, go post about my blog and contest and after that reply here with the link to your review. After I check that everything is in order, I will accept your entry and put you on a run to win L$5000.

Don’t forget the conditions: link with the site iHonto; link for my Free Lindens page and link to this contest. The site and contest description is at your choice.

Let’s get the contest started

May 28, 2008 By: Honto Category: Contest

Hello, second lifers. You want a brand new contest? Of course you want one. So here is how I thought that the contest should develop.

It’s a commentators contest. The commentator counter from my right sidebar is set to show the commentators name and the number of posts written by him/her. Every week it will be a top commentator that will receive from Honto Yoshikawa, 500 free linden dollars. Of course you should not spam and just comment on the subject at hand. The spam comments will be deleted, for sure.

So every week on Friday at 20.00 GMT I will post the top commentator. If I’m busy on Friday, I will do this on Sunday at the same hour. To give you all a chance, the counter resets after a week, so you can be the next one who gets the free L$500.

For the first week it was a total success, here’s the first week winner but from now on I will need at least 3 commentators having a battle for this prize. Otherwise, where is the battle?

Learning to build

May 23, 2008 By: Honto Category: Build

Now, that you got your Second Life account and figured out how you can make free linden dollars in Second Life, I think it’s time for us to go on to an upper level of earning lindens. And that, my friends is building your own stuff. Remember my first post about building when I showed you my clock work? It didn’t take too long for me to do it but surely I didn’t start with that one.

If you add to whatever you build some code, that will be fantastic and you know what’s better? It will increase its value too. For example a clock shows SL time, or even your own time at home, of course you can add to that some kind of menu. And after that, you just sell it. So let’s see, hmm, the costs are pretty low toward nothing. Of course it will cost you your own time but if you do it in a fun way, you won’t even notice that.

As I said, everything starts with the beginning. So for you building beginners here’s a very useful place to be in Second Life. It’s called The Ivory Tower of Primitives and it shows you how to build things. This resource is taken from Torley Linden who gives us different tips every week. Don’t discourage yourself; just keep building it will look better as you progress.
